Graphic Design and UX/UI intern:
Digital Marketing and design experience with BootstrapVT
I combined my passion and skills in design with strategic communication to create impactful and purposeful content and campaigns. Between curating social media campaigns to optimizing email marketing strategy, I showcased my skills in a hands-on position working directly with industry professionals and clients. Below you will find a breakdown of my responsibilities, a few of my projects/contributions and discover the impact I made throughout my internship.
-
While at Bootstrap, I held many responsibilities including but not limited to managing internal and client social media and content creation; designing and strategizing email campaigns; visual storytelling; audience engagement; and user experience design and development.
My role blended my skills in interaction design and graphic design to bring a unique and youthful approach to the marketing team at Bootstrap. While contributing my knowledge and skills, I gained extensive hands-on experience and knowledge of how to apply my expertise to the world of digital marketing. I have learned directly from the professionals what it means to truly “bootstrap” by marketing myself, creating purposeful design, and continuing to expand my knowledge.
-
Social Media Management & Content Creation - For internal Bootstrap socials as well as client profiles; I designed and scheduled posts and campaigns that ensured brand consistency and promoted engagement and growth online as well as financially for our clients. Throughout this internship I have strengthened key skills and learned to:
Designing with strategy in mind - Design goes further when it is purpose-driven. I make it a key point to know who, what, where, and why my content is being consumed.
Think analytically - Design is backed by math and science. Testing and methodologies is essential to successful campaigns in marketing and design.
Collaboration & communication is key - Teammates are crucial when it comes to projects and learning new things!
Be ready to adapt - Software and tools are ever-changing and you never know when a new software or method might be introduced. Campaigns and clients can be unpredictable —stay ready to make necessary changes.
Never stop learning - Even when I’m not in the classroom, there’s always something new to learn and sometimes the best way to learn is to just DO IT!
